Do I have to have a shelf at the bottom?
If you choose not to have a bottom shelf, we recommend that you support the posts with 3 or 4 hanger rails along the depth and width of the bottom. Installing triangle footplates or post wall brackets can also help stabilize the unit.
Can I add another shelf to my wire shelving unit?
Yes, you can add as many shelves as you can fit on the posts. Ensure you have enough vertical space for the items you wish to store. We carry individual shelves that come complete with shelf clips for easy expansion.
How are these shelves measured?
Our Wire Shelving dimensions are measured outside-to-outside, which includes the post holes. Depth is measured front to back, and width is measured left to right.
What parts make up a post?
Posts over 54" in length consist of two pieces held together by a connector. Smaller posts are usually a single solid piece.
What are the black rings in the packaging?
The black rings are protective spacers used to keep the shelves in place during transit. They are not part of the shelf assembly and can be disposed of after unpacking.
Are tools required for assembly?
No tools are required. The system uses a clever locking clip mechanism that allows you to secure shelves to the posts by hand in just a few minutes.
